(Downtown, Petoskey, MI)
Scooter’s 1817th bar, first visited in 2024.
We had parked a couple of blocks away and shopped and a candy shop and a clothing store. I took all the purchases back tot he car while everyone else left for the bar. After putting the items away I got distracted by a pet store, so by the time I made it to the bar I expected everyone to be halfway through their drinks. Instead, I found none of my group there. So before I ordered anything to drink I messaged the rest of the group to make sure I was at the right bar. After several minutes one of them finally responded that I was in the correct place but that they had also gotten distracted by a shop along the way and would join me shortly. So I finally was able to get a drink and grabbed a table big enough for all of us.
This is a quintessential neighborhood dive-ish bar, only missing true 100% dive bar status due to the good selection of craft beer. The floor is covered in peanut shells, and there’s fund stuff to look at in every direction. They do serve food, I think we got some sort of appetizer to share but I don’t remember for sure.
