Scooter’s 1010th bar, first visited in 2013.
When I arrived I wasn’t sure the place was open, as it seemed dark and silent. I tried the door anyway, it opened, so in I went.
The bar was to the right, so I took a seat. The bartender was on the phone but immediately excused herself from the call to get me a drink. It wasn’t necessary, but that’s a good bartender!
She said that I had just missed a party bus and that when she started her shift it was standing room only. I thought for a while that it was just me and her in the place, but later when I went around the corner to use the restroom I realized there was one other person in there playing video slots/poker.
The men’s restroom is pretty interesting — basically it’s a tiny lighted closet with a urinal on the back wall. That’s it — nothing more. (The handwashing sink was outside in the main room — that in itself isn’t such an unusual thing to find really. Let’s everyone know who the nasty people are.)
