Scooter’s 1039th bar, first visited in 2014.
The deteriorated paint of the sign on the side of the building was all it took to sell me on this neighborhood dive.
Inside the long skinny building the bar takes up most of the space, though in the front is a small library and a barber chair. This is the second barber chair I have seen in a bar out of 1,039 bars so far — and both have been here in Omaha.
The elevated back room with the pool table is the most interesting feature of the bar What I dubbed the Georges Seurat Memorial Billiard Hall, the walls are painted with a representation of his master work, Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte.
