Scooter’s 990th bar, first visited in 2013.
I was supposed to have first visited Geno’s on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, as part of what ended up being a 101 bar pub crawl. However we missed the turn when we arrived at Nebraska City and never managed to find Geno’s that day.
At first we didn’t think it was open, as the door closest to the sign was locked. But it turns out the entrance is the next door past that.
Geno’s is very much a dive, but it was a little nicer than I was expecting from the outside. The main area has a long bar, a jukebox, and a few TVs. Behind the bar, accessible from a small entryway at the far end of the bar, is a smaller room with poo, tables and a shuffleboard. Free wifi is available.
