Scooter’s 890th bar, first visited in 2011.

This should have been bar #220, visited in Feb 2007. It was a football-themed bar at the time, I can’t remember the name. But I missed the turn, and we decided to just go ahead and skip it and save it for our next barhopping session in this area.

Unfortunately, the next time we came through here, we found that it had gone out of business.

About a year after that, I noticed it was back in operation again. Now it was a biker bar. Again, I can’t remember the name. I was unable to check it out at that moment but made plans to visit soon.

Finally, in October 2010, we got that chance. Three of us made plans to meet there. We arrived, to find the place dark and empty. Someone at a neighboring business said we had just missed it by a couple of weeks.

Recently I noticed it back open again, so I went out of my way to make sure I stopped in. :) Skeeter’s is music-oriented, with frequent live acts. There’s also a good menu of fried food and burgers, patio seating out front, and pool tables. Like its predecessor it remains biker-friendly.
